Part two can be found here: www.youtube.com Featuring speakers including Brandi Fisher and Mark Osark (at 12:12). Nigel Parry for Pittsburgh Indymedia/14 May 2011—Raw Flipcam footage from the second emergency protest for Justice for Jordan Miles, called by the Alliance for Police Accountability. The footage (released as Creative Commons-Non-Commercial-Attribution) was shot near and in front of Police Headquarters in the Northside of Pittsburgh, on May 14th, 2011, from just after 1pm onwards. This second protest came just one week after Friday May 6th, on which date 150 protesters had gathered outside the City-County Building (City Hall) in Downtown Pittsburgh. They had gathered within 24 hours of the federal government announcement on May 4th that they would not be prosecuting the three cops, and the Mayor and Police Chief’s announcements on the following day, that the cops would be returning to work with no disciplinary action. DA Zappala claims to be weighing whether to file criminal charges against the three officers. Few in the city have any hope that he will provide justice, thus deadlocking the growing conflict between an uncompromising city order, and a considerable proportion of the Pittsburgh public who recognize—at least—that something went badly wrong with police actions during the Miles incident. The Alliance for Police Accountability is holding two more protests, on Sat, May 21st outside the Office of Municipal Investigations, to demand the city’s internal …
