ZEALE

www.BalconyTV.com ‘Like’ us on Facebook – http PRESENTED BY JON RAY Four years ago, ZEALE blasted into the national freestyle rap scene as a finalist in Ohio’s Scribblejam (Yes – the same one that gave Eminem his first break), and since then has obliterated artists in competitions such as the 2007 World Rap Championship in New York and 2010 Redbull “Emsee.” He’s performed on notable tours and showcases with artists such as Talib Kweli, KRS One, NAS, Lil Wayne, Drake, Matisyahu and Jason Mraz. And he’s the master of mixtapes. As soon as ZEALE exploded onto the underground music and hip hop scene, he began cranking out title after title such as Black Album, Group Therapy and The Microphone of Time. Following his previous success, ZEALE released Haterz & Robotz, and received critical acclaim and heavy rotation on Austin’s 101X and Texas college radio airwaves. For his next release, Robot Radio EP, ZEALE transformed his sound with a heavy mix of electronic that pushed the boundaries of his previous body of work. There is no doubt that ZEALE is a master of his craft. His sound has evolved into a powerful combination of hip hop, rock, dance, electronic, and interactive video gaming, and in his newest release, DISASTERKRFT, he pays homage to the great electronic duo, MSTRKRFT, by remixing it with ZEALE’s hip hop swagger. DISASTERKRFT, featuring a track with Houston rapper, Fat Tony, contains some of ZEALE’s most dynamic lyrics to date and takes his brand of hip hop to a whole

____ boazpower.com ____(October 7, 2002) It was the summer of 1966. Having graduated from high school at the end of May, I worked as a disc jockey on KOKL Radio in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, during June and July of that year. My family had emigrated to the US from Israel just ten years before that and I was very patriotic and proud of my new country. The goal of that summers broadcasting job was to earn enough money to go to Washington, DC to see the sights and to meet my senators and congressmen. For me, there was a patriotic theme to much of that summer. After reading an article in the Readers Digest about ringing bells for freedom on the Fourth of July, a high school friend, Pat Barnes, and I, decided to conduct such a campaign all across the state of Oklahoma. We wrote and produced radio public service announcements, wrote letters to newspapers and got editorial support. We had newspaper stories written about our grass-roots campaign and appeared on radio and television news programs. We even met with the Governor of Oklahoma. Then, at 12 noon, on the Fourth of July, 1966, thousands of people and church steeples across the state rang bells for freedom. It was an amazing moment. Now onto Washington, DC. When I arrived there that August, I discovered that I was too young to rent a car. However, there were mopeds available for rent. If you cant be a big wheel in Washington, at least you can get a couple of wheels going in the right direction. Off I went, in my suit, a briefcase
